Our Beautiful Campus
Squire Whipple, Class of 1830, is the father of
scientific bridge building. His bridge at Union is a
National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. The pyramid
of rocks (background), erected in Schenectady in 1934 and
reconstructed on campus in 1984, denotes the area's
geological history.
